IHOS Mobile Support
IHOS Mobile is an unlisted application for authorized Industrial Hose and Oilfield Supply personnel using supported iPhone and iPad devices. Location reporting is limited to company-managed devices that IHOS enrolls for tracking.
Before contacting support
- Confirm the device has a working Wi-Fi or cellular internet connection.
- Close and reopen the affected screen, then reopen IHOS Mobile if needed.
- Confirm the device is running a supported iOS or iPadOS version.
- Note the time and wording of any visible sanitized error message.
- For a company-managed tracking device, confirm it remains enrolled in Mosyle.
Company-managed location reporting
Location permission missing
Open Settings, review Location Services for IHOS Mobile, and enable Precise Location. Confirm Background App Refresh is enabled and turn off Low Power Mode while troubleshooting. Company MDM policy may control some settings. Contact support if a required option is unavailable. Personal devices are not enrolled for location reporting.
No recent location
Check connectivity and permissions, reopen IHOS Mobile, and leave it running normally. iOS and iPadOS control background timing, and indoor conditions can delay or reduce GPS accuracy.
Poor GPS accuracy
Move outdoors with a clear view of the sky and allow the device time to establish a better reading. Buildings, vehicles, and weak satellite visibility can reduce accuracy.
Managed-device issues
App is restricted or will not open
Keep the company management profile installed and contact IHOS support. Do not remove Mosyle management or erase the device unless an authorized administrator instructs you.
Device did not enroll automatically
Confirm the device appears enrolled in Mosyle and that IHOS Mobile is installed as a managed app. Reopen the app while online. Support can verify whether required managed configuration is present without asking you to handle private credentials.
Managed configuration missing
Keep the device online and allow Mosyle time to refresh its configuration. Contact support with the device asset tag and warehouse if the message remains.
Connectivity and updates
Device offline
Confirm Wi-Fi or cellular service works in another approved app, then reopen IHOS Mobile. Stored location updates may upload after connectivity returns.
Device appears stale
A stale status means the Ops Portal has not recently received a heartbeat or location update. Confirm connectivity, reopen IHOS Mobile without force-quitting it, and allow it to send a heartbeat. If the status remains stale, provide support the device asset tag and the time it was last seen.
Heartbeat rate-limited
Wait before trying again and leave the app open normally. Repeatedly tapping diagnostic actions will not make the service accept a heartbeat sooner.
App update not appearing
On a personal device, check the App Store for the latest available version. On a managed device, keep it powered, online, and enrolled in Mosyle; IHOS may schedule managed app updates. Contact support with the currently displayed app version.
